My Bangkok Sojourn

September 1, 2011 - I arrived at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport with Ms. Merlie picking me up at around 8:00 in the evening. It was raining then, I can't explain how happy it made me after not being able to experience rain in the UAE for almost a year. It was a surreal experience for me; that moment I stepped out the Immigration Control area in the airport and unto the waiting area, seeing to many Asians, the rain, the colorful and right-hand drive taxis. I had a feeling that my one month stay here will be great!

It is now my 6th day here. Everything is going well. I have yet to go and see the places which Bangkok is famous for as I have only been staying at home, eating some Thai food, helping out ate Merlie with the things she has to do and sometimes, going out with her if she needs to run an errand.

Will post pictures with this blog once I get the time. :)

Even if it kills me...

I will always choose to do Your will above all else.

I may sound like a broken record but, really, the Lord never ceases to amaze me. I am amaze at the works of Your hand, the strength that I seem to always possess, the peace that I feel even though I'm walking on very rocky path, and the provisions, o Lord, how they multiply!

2:32 AM

Show me Your way and I will follow. Always.

Forgive me Lord if I am lacking the confidence to not worry at all. That despite knowing You will be there with me and that You know what's best for me, I still have fears of what the future here on earth holds for me. But know that I will always go wherever You want me to go, do whatever what You want me to do and strive to become the person that You have planned for me to become all this time.

"I have lover you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with loving-kindness.
I will build you up again
and you will be rebuilt...
and go out to dance with the joyful."
- Jeremiah 31:3-4

An age-old joke about every male politician and their wives but nonetheless very inspiring.

One night President Obama and his wife Michelle decided to do something out of routine and go for a casual dinner at a restaurant that wasn’t too luxurious. When they were seated, the owner of the restaurant asked the President’s Secret Service if he could please speak to the First Lady in private. They obliged and Michelle had a conversation with the owner. Following this conversation President Obama asked Michelle, “Why was he so interested in talking to you?” She mentioned that in her teenage years, he had been madly in love with her. President Obama then said, “So if you had married him, you would now be the owner of this lovely restaurant,” to which Michelle responded, “No. If I had married him, he would now be the President.”
